Water Vs juice and other drinks?!

Question:

Water Vs juice and other drinks?

I know that there is nothing better then water. But i sometimes have a hard time drinking all 8 cups a day of water and was wondering if juice, soda(diet and caffeine free), coffee or chocolate milk could or would count towards my 8 cups of fluids a day.

Answers:
Try 2 cups water and then tea, coffee, juices. The clearer the drink the more beneficial on keeping you hydrated. Drink when you are thirsty- never ignore thirst. 8 cups is probably an exaggeration. everyone is different - but if you count what you normally drink it is probably around 5-6 cups.Keep a food and liquids diary for a week- you will be amazed.

The soda is a no. The juice yes and the vitamins and minerals in it are good too. Coffee i'm not sure about but I think it would a little. The chocolate milk depends how much sugar is in it. The more sugar in it the more it will dehydrate you.

One of the greatest myths of our time is that it's necessary to drink 8 cups of water a day. No one really knows how much water is really needed, so someone just pulled the number 8 out of their ****. And ALL liquids count as water to the body. It's just that some of them have other side effects, like caffeine being a diuretic, which makes you get rid of the water you gained and chocolate milk being high is sugar and fat.
Drink as much water as you need to quench your thirst and don't worry about how much that is.

though there is nothin better than water juices do a good job of acting as a substitute
