Why is coffee bad for when ur growing up?!

Question:

Why is coffee bad for when ur growing up?

my parents nv let me drink coffee when growing up (only decaff). does it really stop your growth?

Answers:
i just noe that coffee make you stop to grow. well, as wat i noe is caffeine in the coffee make you addictive. cos it happens to me especially im goin fo my exam. so i have to wake up myself with very strong coffee. coffee is actually nice to drink but not often.

also, as wat i noe, told by my docter, caffeine could cause you big headache n even migrain and that's wat happen to me now. i get a migraine so that i have to stop to drink it.

everyone has its limit to take caffeine. so maybe you have a family history on the caffeine. therefore, better to follow wat parents said. its fo ur own good too..

Stimulants are bad for growth, any way, people your age have plenty of was to get it. Read the contents of any soda.

I don't think so, but caffiene is a very addictive substance for some people.
I've had several cups of coffee a day since 1967 and now if I skip a morning, I get some of the most incredible , eye piercing headaches. The pain is so intense, it makes you want to throw up.
There are days when my "medical mercenary" doctor wants me to "fast" so they can run test on blood etc., these mornings are like torture due to the headaches.
Your better off with out the three legal addictive drugs in your life. Those are:
Caffiene
Nicotene
Alcohol
All three are legal but do a tremendous amount of damage to you over the years.

If you can "dodge" them, do.

coz it has caffine

I think the reason used to be was that coffee made kids "hyper" - which most kids didn't need anyway and then they didn't go to sleep on time. It was also believed that if kids drank coffee they weren't drinking enough milk and juices which offered some nutritional value while coffee offered none.. Since it doesn't stunt your growth, perhaps your parents buy the high priced stuff and don't want to share. Lol...probably one of the first reasons in your case, though.
