Are bell peppers spicy in taste?!

Question: Are bell peppers spicy in taste?
I am not fond of spicy food but have a recipe I wanna try that says to use bell peppers. I like mild salsa but don't go any hotter than that. My father in law won't even touch mild sauce, its too spicy for him. So anyone who doesn't like spicy food, are bell peppers spicy? I don't wanna waste money to make the food then hate it.
Thanks.

They have 0% spice to them. They have a pepper flavor but that isn't spicyness.

Bel peppers arent spicy, they're the exact opposite. They are really sweet. Now, the red bell peppers are more bitter, but not spicy.

Nope not spicy at all.. anyone can eat them. You can eat them raw and theyre sort of sweet, once cooked/roasted theyre quite mild flavoured

Bubbles....Pensive...Butt...Glandular fever! if this sentence made sence to you then you would know that bell peppers are actually capsicums! So no there not! FREAK jks not really <3

I disagree with the other posters. They do have some spice to them, but I would consider them OK if you can eat mild salsa. They are certainly not at all like a Mexican chili pepper.

It is not spicy. But it does give a certain flavor, like for pizza or if you cook it with chicken.

There not are not SPICY and there are good!
