British Columbian Emergency Room Question?!
I'm currently doing a project on the Canadian healthcare system and I have two scenarios I'd like to ask questions about. If anyone can help provide me with the facts as to EXACTLY how much both scenarios would cost the person who underwent them. The person has basic healthcare coverage/insurance. But with that said I'd like to know EXACTLY how much it would cost him with all fees and charges included including ambulance if there is such a charge. I've been searching and will continue to search for this info but I have not been successful so far
So 1 scenario:
A person drinks too much and goes into some sort of an unresponsive passed out state. An ambulance is called and subsequently transports him to a hospital in British Columbia Canada. He is treated and let go about 3 hours later. The doctor did NOT pump his stomach but instead just put a lot of water into his system which is apparently one method of treatment for someone like this
Scenario 2:
Someone simply breaks their thumb. They are calmly taken to the ER. Give their name/info/care card number and wait for an Xray. They take an Xray, find out that they have no bone breakage and leave.

What's this got to do with ethnic cuisine?
Unless the emergency in this case is you need a curry recipe or something like that, you aren't going to get any thing resembling a real answer here.
