No it is not weird to set your room up the way you like it. Everyone wants their space, and their things displayed the way they want them. That shows individuality. I would ask her why she feels the need to control your space.

No, you're not weird at all. That's having things the way you like it. Or rather... "to your own taste" Just make sure however you have it set up, that you're still neat and tidy.

I would have to see your room first before I can tell whether you are a weirdo. Yes, you do have the right to set up your room the way you like it, but evidently to your Mom, who has different tastes than yours, it appears very strange. That's OK. She is simply expressing how she feels. She may not like it; that is her right and her privilege and she also has the right to express her disapproval if your room breaks the bounds of decency, for instance if it is filthy or filled with hateful type literature. After all it may be your room but it is also her house. Personally, I think you're weird because you posted this question in the cooking and recipe section.
