yeah, its called a margherita

sure why not

yes.

plain pizza

simple but sometimes the best.... papa johns do a nice one.

Yes because its on a pizza base!

It sounds like a poor excuse for a Margarietta.

yes

That'll be a Margaretta pizza!!!

Yes, that's called a plain pizza. Most stores and restaurants sell that type of pizza and if you want more toppings you can ask for mushrooms, anchovies, salami etc. But tomato and cheese is the original type of pizza. Yummy!

its called a margherita

Sure, that's the way they eat pizza in a lot of places including Naples where it comes from, but usually the cheese and sauce are of top quality, otherwise it's just bread with cheese and sauce on it. Should be a bit of basil and oregano there too.

Technically speaking, a pizza can have just tomato sauce and cheese, but if it's only got a little bit on a very bread-like crust, it sounds more like focaccia.

Yes, this is called white pizza. That just means that it has no sauce on it. It is often served as an appetizer and if often a lot less messy than regular pizza.

a pizza doesnt even need cheese its the bread base that makes it a pizza
you can get a gyros (donner) pizza no cheese or tomato

Yes, technically.

=]

yes ofcourse

Yeah its still a pizza. A pizza doesn't even need cheese OR tomoato on top, its just a flat bread with "toppings" which could be anything you want.

Back in the ninja turtles' first run (they were called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles in the UK back then) you could get a rather tasty chocolate and marshmallow pizza. Baked bean and cheese is another of my favourites.

yes

No, it's just a disc of tough bread with a cheesy, tomatoey stain on it.

Okay, let me correct what some of these people are saying. This is a PLAIN pizza, pizza dough, sauce, and cheese in whatever quantity.
A Margarita Pizza (don't know if I spelled it right) is topped with sauce, mozerrella, and fresh chopped Basil, imitating the 3 colors of the Italian flag, red, white, green. To be a Margarita it MUST Have the 3, otherwise it's just plain pizza.
