What about snails?!

Question:

What about snails?

They are a great snack in my country but apparently a lot of people would not eat them and finds them disgusting (I love them!!). Do you?
What about sea food?

Answers:
Luv snails. Try them simmered in coconut milk with chili peppers and garlic, it's fantastic!!! Yup it's considered exotic (kind term for disgusting lol) in many countries, but they don't know what they're missing. ;-)

I love all kinds of seafood, exotic or no, from unagi sushi to steamed oysters to sizzling tuna belly to crab roe to sea urchins to grilled prawns to fried jack! Yummy.

I love sea food, but I have never had the opportunity to try snails. I would really like to though, I think I would enjoy them.

I'd have a hard time eating a snail (I'm from US). Maybe in France, I'd try one escargots if they were really garlicky and small, and I didn't have to eat the whole portion. But even that depends upon how many glasses of wine I will have had......

I've had them. Lots of butter and garlic. they were okay, but not really my thing.
I enjoy most seafood. Not crazy about oysters, but other than that, I'll eat and enjoy most seafood. (yes I eat squid and clams and octopus, and like it if it's made right)

I've never had them..
I never had a partner who really was into food and the exotic..
but I love calimari, frogs and many other.

i could not imagine eating a snail,as i don't like seafood

I tried escargot while I was on a cruise and loved it. They were served with garlic and butter. Very tasty! I like seafood also... just not oysters. They're really not my thing.

When I was a chef, I love to eat them and find new ways to prepare them, I am most fond of the garlic butter method, we use to make a soup and added saute snails to it, I had on one of my menus, a filo wrapped item, the garlic butter prep, but sealed inside filo, served with a tomato sauce with fresh tarragon, so like chicken kiev when you cut it open the butter would ouz out.

I also had sea snails in Japan and when I worked in Singapore, almost like scallops, more chewy than land snails, I found the best were from France, but the one's on the market are generally from Taiwan or Hungary even India.

i love sea food, never had snails. might try them. but would be afraid of eating them just ANYWHERE as in this country it isn't common. they may make them wrong and i might get sick. I FIGURE...WHATS THE WORST THAT WILL HAPPEN?.....I WONT LIKE THEM ..THROW UP...AND NEVER EAT THEM AGAIN....

ILL TAKE THAT CHANCE!

I am adventurous
