Can anyone give me a recipe for Spanish rice?


Answers:
I make Spanish rice for my family using the following ingredients (unfortunately I'm not a measurer just a dumper). 1/2 pound of hamburger or sausage - browned
1/2 large onion - sauteed
1 can Rotel tomatoes - drained
add ingredients to your cooked rice. Fast, simple and good.

My mom made that for dinner tonight. It was yummy.

I thought cannibalism was illegal. (jk)

I cook white rice. Then I warm up a pan (or a wok is good for this) with a little bit of oil. Then I throw in the rice and fry it up for about 5 min. Make sure you stir continuously. Then I add a can of El Pato, some onions, grn chili's. and diced tomatoes. Let it cook with the lid on for another 5 minutes. It's delicious!!!

3 c chicken broth (low sodium if possible)
1 c V8 juice
2 c converted rice (the kind that cooks in 20 minutes)
1 clove garlic
1/2 - 1 tsp taco seasoning
3 c cut raw vegetables (onion, zucchini, tomato, green pepper, corn, or your preference)

Bring broth and juice to a boil in a 3 qt sauce pan.
Add the rice, garlic, taco seasoning and vegetables, and salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer covered for 20 minutes, stir occasionally.
Remove from heat, let stand 5 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed.

Add 1 lb cooked Italian or chorizo sausage, chopped, if you like.

Spanish Rice

1 cup rice
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1 cup water
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/3 cup frozen peas
1/3 cup diced cooked carrots

Saute rice in hot oil until light brown.
Add onion, garlic, and salt.
Cook on low until onion is tender.
Add tomatoes, cook until soft.
Add water, cover and simmer until water is absorbed.
Stir in broth, peas, carrots, and cumin.
Cover and simmer until broth is absorbed and rice is tender; about 10 minutes.

1 cup of rice 2 cups of water 1 bullion cube and 3ounces of tomato sauce. garlic and onion. In a pan with 2 tablespoons of oil saute garlic and onion..
When brown you add 2 cups water and your bullion cube and tomato sauce and bring to a rapid boil. You put your rice in a baking dish.. then you add your boiling water to the rice and mix and cover tightly with tin foil and put in the oven at 350 for 35 to 40 min. the key is so have your oven preheated and the water at a rapid boil.. Perfect rice..

1c. brown rice (healthier); cooked
1/2 red pepper; diced
1/2 green pepper; diced
1 can tomato sauce
some mexican seasoning
a dash of Tabasco sauce (if u like spicy)

You can also add 1lb. of your choice of hamburger meat; cook until brown; crumble

Mix all together in a skillet or sauce pan until heated through. Very easy!!
