2 slices sprouted grain bread
hummus
cucumber slices
onion slices
daikon radish sprouts
avocado slices
tuna
Spread hummus on each slice. Layer with cucumber, onion, sprouts and avo, then add tuna. You don't need to add mayo to the tuna with this sandwich, because the hummus will moisten up the tuna, and everything is nutrient dense.
put some tuna in a bowl green oinon crackers all runched up and then TA-DA ur done
eating tuna and bread are healthy enough, just add more veges for taste
use vinegar instead of mayo and add chopped veggies you love. no salt or just a pinch.
If you're making tuna salad, use low sodium tuna, & fat free mayo. I always put lettuce, tomato, & bean sprouts on mine. Be sure to use whole grain bread, as well.
Just eat the Tuna, avoid the bread, mayonaise. Enjoy other vegies with the Tuna. Be creative ask him what he likes.
I like plain tuna, pickles, peppers, celery, mustard. Have fun.
You can use a light mayo, or totally leave it out, I like to add mustard to mine, some garlic powder, or lemon adds a lot of flavor plus I always try to add carrots, onions and celery. Other veggies that you could try: cucumber, tomato, avacado (anything really)
you can also see what some fresh herbs taste like in it: basil, or parsley
Careful with the tuna, most tuna stocks are HUGELY endangered, and most canned tunas are from overfished waters. Your sandwich could be causing extinction!
2 cans of tuna
half a chopped onion
1 chopped tomao
1 scotch bonnet pepper chopped very small
a bit thyme, black pepper, oragano, a dash or 2 of bitters, a bit of lime or lemon juice
Mix well serve with warm bread
Use canned tuna in water, light mayo, sweet relish, boiled diced eggs, onions, seasonings, mix together.... you can also make the mix, add a slice of cheese, put butter on the ends and grill in frying pan on top stove, med. heat... excellent with tomato soup
I love my tuna on wheat toast with bbq chips inside. I chop red onion, slice iceberg lettuce, use sweet pickle relish, and like paprika and black pepper for spice. Easy on the mayo. I sometimes make the tuna salad as a dip for the bbq chips.
I like tuna (very well drained) mixed with salsa and tons of lettuce in a pita.
I like to add mint sauce, with plenty of mint.
