put the egg in COLD water to start. dropping it into boiling water will start cooking it prematurely. bring it to a boil for at least 3 minutes (I prefer 5) and then let it cool for a good while (out of the water) before you peel it. When you do, crack both the top and bottom of the egg on the table, side of sink, etc., then roll it between your hands under cold running water. it should slip right out of the shell.

Fill a pot with water & boil it. If you have less eggs use a smaller pot so the heat will fill the pot faster and your egg will cook faster. Try to make sure their is just enough space for the egg and the water so you can have a faster cooked egg.

get a pot, put on stove, turn stove on high, put egg in , wait for about 25 minutes, take egg out and enjoy

you find a pot.. put water in it.. now dont fill it up all the way.. put your egg in it.. then put oven on high.. when water starts to bubble.. wait like 10 more minutes... then drain water and peel egg..

Poke a tiny pinhole on the bottom of the egg. They have devices made just for that purpose and you can find them in any pots and pans section of your local Walmart or whatever. Then bring water to a boil. With the water boiling, carefully ease the egg into the water and rest it on the bottom of the pot. Boil for 5 minutes or longer if you want it hard boiled. When time's up, immediately rinse the hot egg in cold water; this prevents the peal from sticking and makes it peal easily.

she put her eggs in a pot and then covered them with water. put them on the stove with the lid off so you can tell when the water starts to boil. when the water boils, cover the pot with a lid and turn off the heat. wait 10 minutes and you should have the perfect hard boiled egg

put the egg in a pot of boiling water and let it boil for 4-6 minutes

Start out by filling up your stainless steel pan with fresh tap water. Place the pan on the stovetop burner. Turn on the heat to medium. Stand and watch, as water may burn. Place egg in water. Stir occasionally while water is heating. Place a tsp. of salt in water (makes peeling much easier).

Water will begin to create little itsy bitsy bubbles. These itsy bitsy bubbles will eventually turn into large bubbles.

Hard boil or half boil?
Just an egg - use a stainless steel mug, fill with water and boil. As soon as water is boiled, turn off your gas, put in your egg for 3 mins (for half boiled) Do not cover.
For hard boiled, put in your egg and cover for about 15mins or leave it on the stove to boil for 10 mins.
If you prefer your egg hard, then boil it longer, about 15mins

I have always had a problem with that too so don't feel bad now all i have to say is all you people who gave her an answer you didn't have to treat her like an idiot. Lots of people just can't get it right ok. Lay off

Place the egg(s) in the pot with water, bring to a boil, cover & turn off the heat. Let stand for 10 minutes.

That's the way I always do it & my eggs come out perfectly.

1 to 4 Eggs
2 quarts water


*note: water should cover the eggs by 1 inch, so use a tall pan, and limit
cooking to 2 dozen eggs at a time.

Chilling the eggs promptly after each step prevents that dark line from
forming, and if time allows, leave the eggs in the ice water after the last
step for 15 to 20 minutes. Chilled eggs are easier to peel, as well.

The peeled eggs will keep perfectly in the refrigerator, submerged in water
in an uncovered container, for 2 to 3 days.

put your water and eggs in a pot and bring to a rapid boil, once the water starts boiling real good turn the heat off and let them set in the pot for 12 minutes and then remove the pot from the stove. you can over boil an egg.how to tell that is when you boil your eggs and open them you will see like a grayish green on the outer part of the yoke, that means they have been over boiled. be sure not to under boil them also. 12 minutes is all it takes to boil an egg.

Put cold water in the pot and add the egg instantly. I you add the egg to water which is hot or boiling the egg will crack.

Boil the water (with the egg inside) and once the water starts to boil, instantly turn down the temperature and leave it to simmer for about 5 - 7 minutes depending on how well you want it cooked.

Put egg/eggs in sauce pan. Cover with water. Bring to a boil. Turn off heat. Cover with lid and let sit for 10 minutes.
