Question:

Whats hevier a pound of bread or a pound of gold??

gold is measured by the troy ounce, there are only 12 troy
ounces in a pound, a loaf of bbread wieghs 16 ounces.

Neither-they are both still a pound. It would, of course, take more bread to make a pound, but the weight would be the same.

same pretty much

Neither. They both weight the same: one pound.

a pound is a pound - they're the same

The key phrase there is "a pound of". A pound is the unit in which weight is measured... You can't have "more" pound of gold than pound of bread (if you know what I mean).

same

Well, you already know they weigh the same.
How 'bout this - which is heavier - a pound of love or a pound of hate?

They both weight the same. Except I would want the gold LOL!!!

A pound of bread has 16oz. and a pound of gold weighs 10oz. so that makes the bread heavier

Obviously you now know that they are both the same. I have heard this question before but not using bread and gold, the way I have heard it goes: "Which is heavier, a pound of bricks or a pound of feathers?" And right away everyone answers, "A pound of bricks!", which is not right, because they both weight the same, just that it would take a lot more feathers to make a pound.
