Storing grapes in the refridgerator...?!

Question:

Storing grapes in the refridgerator...?

I usually wash my grapes and then keep them in a bowl uncovered and in my refridgerator... Should they be covered or is it better that they breathe?

Answers:
You're actually not supposed to wash grapes until you're ready to serve them. I've done it both ways, and they last longer if you wait to wash them before you eat. I live alone, so if you have a family, it may not be important.

This is my food storage bible:

This site has food storage guides for where and how to store nearly everything, and it even tells you how you should freeze it. I had it laminated so I could store it in my kitchen.

Covered is better. Do you know that you can wash, drain, and then freeze them. This is a filling, refreshing, and nutritious summertime treat!

the grapes should be covered because you never know what stuff might get on it,like fungus or maggots(maggots rarely happen on grapes)

I'm not an expert, but I think that you should keep them uncovered once you rinse them off. That would keep the excess water and condensation buildup to a minimum, hopefully keeping mold at bay.
