What is a good wine to drink when you are eating fillet Mignon?!

Question:

What is a good wine to drink when you are eating fillet Mignon?

Answers:
While there are new opinions regarding what wine to drink with different dishes, the old standby rule has always been "white meat, white wine and red meat, red wine". If it's just me for dinner, I'll pretty much use whatever is open, but if I'm having company I make sure to use this rule as a basis for my choice unless I know that my dinner companion(s) have a definite preference regardless of what's being served for dinner.

White Wine.

Red wine, depending on your tastebud, medium or dry. I'm partial to South African and Spanish wines, Torres is always a winner.

Any medium or full bodied red wine will taste good with Fillet Mignon, but my favorite is a Shiraz varietal. Its slightly peppery taste goes especially well with steak.

a medium full bodied red wine.

yellow tail
Cabernet/merlot blend

Baron Herzog is great, but my splelling might not be! Lol.
But defenetly go for a dark, red wine.
Enjoy!

depends on waht you prefer.... some people prefer the heavy reds. I prefer whites and light bodied wines. I tried a red recently cal;led barbers. bit's waesome owth everything....

I really like mine with a red zin...it is one of my favorite pairings!
Along with some grilled asparagus and arugula salad...yum!

That is pretty easy. You want either a Pinot Noir or Shyraz.

If you are a white wine drinker you should at least try the Pinot. If you just can't do red then a Zinfedel might work.

Do NOT drink Chardonay, Pino Grigio etc. The flavors of both the steaks and the wine will be ruined.
