Fresh Grapes?!

Question:

Fresh Grapes?

What is the realistically best way to store grapes to keep 'em fresh longest? I heard such techniques as: plastic bag + fridge, air tight container + fridge, remove from stem, etc. any tips?

Answers:
One- Avoid washing grapes before storing them.
Two - Check through bunches for spoiled grapes and remove them.
Three - Put the grapes in a plastic bag in your refrigerator. Store them for no longer than a week.
Four - Wash the grapes under cold water just before serving.

Tips & Warnings
Freeze grapes for a hot-weather snack.
To peel grapes (if you want to use them in fruit salad, for example), drop them into boiling water for a couple of seconds, then drain them and immerse them in cold water. The skins should rub off.

Keep them out of plastic bags in the fridge.

roll them tightly in paper towels, toss in your fridge's "crisper"

Well the fridge thing for sure! In the crisper too. Also sulfur works REALLY well. Not sure where a person outside of the industry can find it. but if you can it is the #%*$. I work in a winery, and know some people that send grapes all over the world...fr wine making and general consumption. They all keep them in sulfur rooms. Help keep down mold and spolige bateria. How long are you wanting to keep them? Hope not too long. With sulfer however you can keep them for a month or two.

when you buy them make sure the stems are green and fresh then look for spoiled grapes nice green stem no spoiled grapes is a good thing then when you get them home do not wash them just put in fridge
