How much water would I add to one tablespoon of oats to make a very small portion of oateal?

I need to make 1/2 cup of oatmeal, and I'm hoping 1 tablespoon of oats will be enough, plus water, but I do not know how much water to add, anyone know?

The ratio is 2 to 1. For instance if you want to make one serving, you use 1/2 cup of oats and 1 cup of water. You can make a half serving by cutting the amounts in half.

1/4 oatmeal and 1/4 water should give you half a cup i think. If its anything like rice, then going 50/50 would do it.

Ok gal, every morning for a very long time I have made oatmeal for breakfast. Here is what I do;

1/4 cup oatmeal - 1/3 cup HOT water - microwave for 1 minutes 11 seconds - let cool and enjoy!

I add raw sugar, raisins or dried cranberries yummy
