Scotcharoos?!

Question:

Scotcharoos?

i need a very easy scotcharoo recipe. i made them last year in my home ec class and i dont remember the recipe. but i do remember a few ingredients. chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and corn flakes. i need to know the rest of the ingredients if there r any and i need to know the process of making them any help would be great. thanks

another thing that might help is that we had only like 20 minutes to do this so we did it really fast. and we melted the chips and then we put the corn flakes into it. and then we spooned them onto baking sheets and put them in to the fridge. but it just seems like there should be more to the process

Answers:
I am a professional baker and I make a ton of these:

Buy the following:
1 medium size box of rice krispies
1 small bottle of white corn syruy
3 cups peanut butter
2 cups white sugar
2 bags of chocolate chips
1 bag of butterscotch chips

Put the rice krispies in a big bowl

Cool the corn syrup, sugar, peanut butter together until is is all melted and just starts to boil.

Pour the hot mix into the rice krispies

Mix the mess then turn it out into a cake pan

Melt the chips and spread on top of the rice krispies

I always add a pinch of salt and a bit of vanilla to the stuff I cook to add a bit of flavor.

Have fun!
