Which is healthier...Emerald Mixed Nuts or Planters Mixed Nuts?!

Question:

Which is healthier...Emerald Mixed Nuts or Planters Mixed Nuts?

The most obvious difference is that Planters has pistachios, while Emerald doesn't. Emerald has Brazil Nuts. Not sure of the salt/additive comparison. I'm asking for health, and because Planters is $2 more for 2 less ounces at Key Food in Brooklyn.

Answers:
you should seriously look at the nutrition information found in every packaged food and the ingredient list to see what each contains and determine which is better.
the salt content will be high because they want to minimize the amount of preservatives they want to add in their product.
try this... instead of either of the choices you mentioned why not try buying nuts in their shells in the grocer's section; it's cheaper by the pound and you can make your own mixed nuts. and it's a lot healthier for you.

i am not sure but i am guessing the emerald mixed nuts because planters uses alot of oils and stuff.

To be perfectly honest the absolutely healthiest nuts to get are raw nuts. You can get a 3 lb bag of Almonds for around 11-12 dollars at Costco or get raw nuts at a whole foods market. However if your limited stay away from honey roasted or try low or no salt ones. Brazil nuts have lower carbs, but they have high calories. pistachios are lower in sodium. Go to www.planters.com. They have a nutrition chart. Emerald nuts does not. If you have a Walgreens they have great prices for nuts and they are good.

emerald, but its more expensive
