Does anyone know what the little balls in bubble tea are made of?

I fell in love with bubble tea while visiting Singapore and am curious. Also, can you find those "bubbles" in the U.S. ?

Tapioca - the same as the little balls in tapioca pudding. I am not certain about the US, but there are lots of places in Canada that sell bubble tea. A lot of Asian restaurants have it - we even have some places specifically devoted to bubble tea! If you are asking about where to get just the bubbles so you can make your own bubble tea, you might want to try an Asian grocery store or the international / ethnic section of your local grocery store.

yeah i know it is soo addictive! its made out of tapioca i believe.
