What is the red liquid in my loaf bread?!

Question:

What is the red liquid in my loaf bread?

So I bought this package of supermarket brand loaf bread, you know the kind they make at the supermarket themselves. Well anyway, its called double chocolate sliced loaf cake and I was looking at the ingredients, realizing how bad it was for me. And let me read you the last couple ingredients: corn starch, baking powder, potassium sorbate, artificial color, xantahn gum, red liquid. What in the HECK is red liquid???????? Is that a typo?

Answers:
If it is a Chocolate loaf the red liquid (Dye) is used to enhance a more chocolate color look.

Its the industry name for human blood. Its in a lot of things now a days.

Maybe it's food coloring or flavoring or a chemical added for freshness.....doesn't really sound healthy...

did your bread have its period?

red liquid....prob not a typo...

dye? write the 'manufacture' for details

it may be a typo but probably isn't and may be red dye, you know? but you may want to ask the people there just to make sure. the first guy who answered your question is an idiot (you probably knew that lol) and the second guy may be right or wrong, you may want to check just to make sure you know? but if you already ate it, don't be alarmed.
