What did you do for Father's Day weekend?!

Question:

What did you do for Father's Day weekend?

I sent my Dad a present because I live so far away. Have always been closer to him so I'm feeling depressed.

Answers:
We celebrated a week early because this past weekend everyone was away.

We had T-bones on the grill (my husband's favorite), with corn on the cob (microwave), fresh hot bread and butter (bread machine) and mushrooms sauteed in butter and garlic. For dessert, pecan pie and vanilla ice cream (also his favorite).

We gave him a gift card for an outdoors place, plus a little gadget for buttering corn on the cob (works pretty well), plus he's buying himself a new trolling motor for the boat. It was a nice little party. We ate outdoors and the weather was great.

I'm sorry you couldn't be with your dad on his day, but it's nice you were thinking of him and he knows you care. Maybe next year you can visit. Take care.

I ran a 5k with all my brothers and sisters and my dad for chicago children memorial and chilled the rest of the day and played basketball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fun

Hung out at the lake with my hubby, my kids, my father-in-law and my dad (who was visiting from abroad). It was great to have all my favorite daddies altogether for a day. This is the first Father's Day I've spent with my dad since 1999, so I was anxiously looking forward to it, and I'm already sad that it's over! I feel your pain! :) Cheer up!

I love to cook, he loves to eat, so I made breakfast. Blueberry pancakes and sausage patties, coffee and juice. Then my daughter and I gave him a gift card for Home Depot (he runs his own construction co.) and then I made dinner, lasagna, salad, garlic bread and for dessert, hot fudge pudding cake over vanilla ice cream. Gosh, we sound like pigs!lol
