The dinosaurs that had their eyes in front of their face are plant eaters and the dinosaours that had their eyes on the side of their faces are meat eaters. Doesn't that mean that we're supposed to be palnt eaters because our eyes are in front of our faces?
Answers:
Eyes in the front of the head give a restricted field of vision and stereoscopic vision. The stereoscopic vision gives the animal the ability to judge distances very accurately. This is a great thing if you are a predator or if you live in trees like our earliest ancestors. Eyes in the sides of the head give a wide field of vision without good depth perception. This is great if you are an herbivore and you have to be prepared to run as soon as you see a predator. If you accept the general rule and allow for exceptions (our earliest ancestors were herbivores) then the rule holds.
Only if we were dinosaurs.
i think there's a big difference between giant reptiles and humans. we're allowed to differ, you know.
Its the other way around, the predators have eyes in front just like today, wolves ,bears, lions. The plant eaters deer and such have them on the side
no cats eyes are in the front of their faces and they are carnivores.
I can see my hamburger just fine, thank you.
No it isn't, it is the other way round as a rule.
That was a theory but it has since been proven wrong. However, many scientists have researched the linning and length of the intestines and structure of the human mouth which does not have a defined set of canine teeth and have determine that humans were truely meant to be herbaviours and occasionally ate certain insects. This lifestyle is custom in many African, Asian, and South American cultures.
Well, I would LOVE to think so--I'm a vegan--but horses, though natural vegetarians, have their eyes on the sides of their faces. :( Interesting fact, though! However we ARE still natural vegetarians and should NOT eat meat.
