What do vegans feed their pets?
Is there vegan pet food?
Answers:
I, personally, feed my cats meat. They're natural carnivores and can't thrive on a vegan diet... Plus they're family pets, so it's not even my decision.
"Vegans don't "own" pets, because they realize that pet ownership is just exercised human domination of animals. They believe that spaying and neutering is nothing more than horrendous sexual mutilations guised as "compassion," guided by a desire for population control, though ironic enough the Earth's most overpopulated species being the human."
Uhh, no. While it's true that I wouldn't say I "own" pets, spaying and neutering is VERY necessary. And yes, humans are incredibly overpopulated, which is why I'm not having children.
yes, it was very popular during the pet food scare. Not sure if it's vegan, just natural.
i give my dog regular dog food with chicken.
Responsible vegans feed their pets regular pet food because dogs and cats are carnivores and can get really sick on a vegan diet.
If it's a 300 pound canary- Anything it wants. Pit bulls get lots of meat. Dogs are carinverous. Vegans would argue that people are not. But they will feed their dogs meat because a dog needs it to survive. Pets are pets and people are people.
cats and dogs are carnivores and must eat meat. Cats will go blind without the taurine in meat.
I have had several dogs and I have known them to be omnivourous. In fact 2 of my dogs loved Tomatoes and often would eat them right out of my garden they even passed up meat a few times to get to my cucumber's The dog I have right now likes Grapes..
Vegan Food as for example:
Bramble, a 27-year-old border collie whose vegan diet of rice, lentils, and organic vegetables earned her consideration by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s oldest living dog in 2002.
“27-Year-Old Vegan Collie Could Be World’s Oldest Living Dog,” Ananova, 29 Aug. 2002.

Though the real answer is NOTHING

yes and im a vegan who has had 2 pet birds before and their natural diet does not really consist of meat so they are sort of vegan too
Yes, they make vegan cat and dog food. Its irresponsible to feed your cat vegan food only, however dogs can thrive well on a vegan diet.
And mikey up there is incorrect and I guess basing that on opinion, as many vegans have many animal companions..I have cats, whom I adore. And ya I get them all fixed. It truly is crueler in the long run to not fix your pet. There is no guise there. But thats a whole othet topic.. :)
l feed my animals just regular pet food!!!!
