the broccoli is already so hot i dont wanna make it hotter but the butter aint melting on it when i pt it on!

warm the butter seperately and then put it on the broccoli.
microwave...
Put it a few seconds in the microwave...
MELT THE BUTTER IN A PAN AND TOSS LIGHTLY, NAMASTE
The microwave would be a good idea, if you don't have one (yes some don't have one) use a small pot and melt the butter over the stove, carefully.

you'd probably want the butter to melt on the hot broccoli...
The easiest way is to buy the spray margarine (I can't believe its not butter or Parkay) and just spray it on. If you insist on real butter, then melt the butter first, put it in the bowl first, then add the broccoli and toss lightly.
