Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars
1 (16 ounce) package pound cake mix
3 eggs
2 Tbs butter, melted
4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chopped pecans
1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees C (175 degrees C). Coat a 15x10 inch jelly roll pan with non-stick spray.
2 In a large mixing bowl, on low speed, combine cake mix, 1 egg, margarine, and 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice until crumbly. Press onto bottom of prepared pan.
3 In another large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk, then remaining two eggs, pumpkin, remaining 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice, and salt; mix well. Pour over crust; sprinkle with pecans.
4 Bake 30 to 35 minutes, or until set.
5 Cool, then chill in refrigerator. Cut into squares. Store covered in refrigerator.
Yield: 48 bars

This one has powder instead of soda:
Pumpkin Bars
"Good with cream cheese frosting."
INGREDIENTS
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
4 eggs
2 cups canned pumpkin
2 teaspoons baking soda
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease two 9 x 13 pans.
Mix all ingredients until well blended.
Bake for 25 minutes. Cool and frost bars with Cream Cheese Frosting.

For each 1 teaspoon baking powder called for in a recipe, use:

1/4 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
