Goat milk feta?!

Question:

Goat milk feta?

why is this not readily avail? most in grocery stores are made with cows milk

Answers:
i think its got to do with the wider availabilty of cows milk here in the usa. lots of places have good imported fetas. my absolute favorite is the authentic greek feta sold at trader joes. it is by far the best feta i can find, plus it ia actual goat milk feta AND it is imprted from greece...so many times ive had cow feta, and its not the same. some taste almost like a blue cheese ive thought. this one with goat milk is great. i like just eating it with nuts n dried fruit

I am a former chef in Canada, alot has to due with the city you live in and the demand for the product.

I would try a deli or specialty store that sells a variety of cheeses, I live in Toronto Canada, and go to the Greek section of town, I but goats milk feta, Greek and Canadian cows milk, Bulgarian feta and I have had sheeps milk from the middle east.

I would check the local cheese shops or as the deli manager at your supermarket to try to stock it more.
