What types of pans do chefs on tv mostly use because they always have the silver pans?!

Question: What types of pans do chefs on tv mostly use because they always have the silver pans?
What type do they use mostly stainless steel, copper, nonstick, aluminum

I notice on foodnetwork they always have silver ones

Answers:

The other person is correct we us, Stainless steel at home, in the trade it is cast or stamped aluminium, cast iron or black steel, for TV purposes they are more pleasing to the eye, and are nice to look at, some are better than others, ones with a stainless base and either a nickel or copper core in the base. Old fashion copper is rarely used I saw a couple of places when I was chef using it, but they had to have the interiors re-plated every 5 years, a set from Cuisinart, Kitchenaid or Langostina are the type I would recommend.

Stainless steel
