Why does Coca Cola Remove Rust Spots?!

Question:

Why does Coca Cola Remove Rust Spots?

I just did an experiment and coca cola was able to remove rust spots and even clean a penny. Also it almost disolved a nail.

Why did this happened. I know it has phoporus acid but what does it help it do?

Answers:
it removes oxidations by dissolving them. the acid n carbonation work together. thats why u can clean ur car battery with it :)

yeah I don't know why that happens either. I heard about that -just never got around to trying it. My car isn't that bad I guess. I'm glad you found something that worked.

That would be a good question to ask the Coca Cola Atlanta HQ.

carbonic acid mostly....the phosphoric acid content isn't that high.

It'll even remove stomach lining if you give it enough time. High acid content.

Because Coca-Cola has a lot of phosphoric acid in it which makes it highly oxidative. See the link below.

it is the acid in the drink. if coke can romove and eliminate stains and rust and grime, imagine what it is doing to our insides.xxxstay away for cokexxx
