What is your favorite mexican dish? (NO TACO-BELL STUFF)?
I really love mexican food. My favorite is a bean burrito at Los Tres Amigos. They are the best.

i make some killer cheese enchiladas, so a plate with those, some rice, some beans and a little guacamole is heaven.

My favorite would have to be loaded nachos, and I mean the kind with everything on them that you could imagine: onions, cheese, beans, beef, sour cream, guacamole, black olives etc.

I went to this authentic restaurant in Colorado and I mean it was AWESOME! Im not even a Mexican food fan but I loved it! I had chicken quesidiallas (however you spell it), and they served it with quacomole, cheddar cheese, beans, kidney bean rice....it was DELICIOUS.

I adore mexican food my favorties are : Chiles rellenos, enchiladas, and tamales.
Mole - The first time I tried it it is was prepared by some Mexican fellows at university and well.... they did, I suppose, a poor job. Man, when I tasted it it was just awful.
Weeks latter I and my girl friend get invited to a Mexican married couple's home... and as we are about to ring the door bell I say to my girlfriend, "god, i hope they aren't serving mole". Well don't you know, the lady of the house opens the door... and happy to see us says, "I have prepared a Mexican specialty for you - MOLE!". Oh sheet I says to myself.... Well we have a few drinks and head to the table and we get this dark brown sauce served over some chicken along with some sour cream (I think).... and we dig in.... AND I had the most wonderful sensation in my mouth.... my taste buds jumped for joy. My girlfriend had the same reaction. We ate to our delight and even had seconds. AND, I had to tell our hosts of my fear of mole before entering their home- and we all laughed!
Therefore MOLE is NOW a favorite Mexican dish of mine.
