What do you do for fun?!

Question:

What do you do for fun?

Do you like sports? football or soccer
What kind of music do you like?
What TV shows or movies do you like?

I am attempting to "refine" my theories regarding vegetarians...

So far in my opinion, many of you are:

1. self-righteous - i.e. everybody's favorite "________ the Annoying Vegan."
2. militant - "______ conscript"?
3. ignorant - many examples
4. lack a sense of humor - many examples
5. lack a sense of style - "Do You Wear Leather Shoes (Vegans)?" my answer regarding Cole Haan, Kenneth Cole, or Prada... and K-Mart got deleted.

In answering this question, please limit your answer to the question:

"What do you do for fun?"

(coming up: Either I or a future version of myself shall explore such topics as: literature and the arts, politics, religion and spirituality)

Answers:
I like working out (strength training & jogging), playing video games (mostly Wii or Nintendo DS ... or xbox 360), drawing, traveling, watching Lost and Mythbusters, going for nature hikes ... etc.

I listen to pretty much anything but country and rap, but my favorite bands are Freezepop, the B-52s, Johnny Cash (he is not pop-country), and Deadsy.

My favorite movies are pretty much anything by Quentin Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs rules) or Kevin Smith (Clerks rules). As long as it isn't some sappy thing. I love Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

I don't really care to watch sports, I would rather play them, specifically basketball.

go out with my friends and party!!!!!

Dance, read, hang out with friends, talk on the phone, etc

i like to eat mustard and biscuits and answer questions aaahaa

I like to:-
1)Play soccer (My favorite sport).
2)Read (Specially fantasy stories)
3)Chat (On the messenger with friends)
4)Visit a friend
5)Play computer games
6)Sing (By myself)

How about you?

I resent these stereotypes, but they are accurate. Being a self-righteous vegetarian isn't much better than being a self-righteous meat-eater. If you want somebody to respect your decision, the least you could do is respect theirs.

I act like a regular person. I hang out with my friends, who only know I'm vegetarian because they asked. I have a sense of humor. I get all my news from the Onion free newspaper, so I'm not ignorant or anything. I draw and make computer art. I do my homework. (Though that's not fun).

And just so you know, I AM an atheistic liberal. No surprise there.

i'm a vegetarian for 12 years now, i like soccer, i like the score music, the lord of the rings kind

Well the second half had jacksh** to do with the questions you just asked but Ill respond because at the moment this is what i am doing for fun..(i also enjoy spending my time with ____conscript and his sexy militant ***)
sports: i like to watch football on occasion..specificly when Tom Brady is playing
I love placebo, radiohead, tool, pixies, violent femmes, janes addiction...(i could go on with this)
Im addicted to Lost and old reruns of Oz. My favorite movies are Trainspotting, Garden State, and Donnie Darko.

Are you trying to find the perfect stereotype for a vegan? That's not very nice! Anyway, for fun I work in my garden, play discgolf, and do a lot of hiking. When I have the time I travel to weird (and less expensive) places. Oh yeah, I cook... a lot, and it is fun so there ya have it.

Go camping,hiking,biking,boating,... kinds of fun things.

make fun of omnivores, mostly.

Vegan. Go ta school to get loaded with homework. Read, write essays, paint, chat, computer games, forget email passwords. We mostly do everything non vegans/ vegetarians do!

listen to live music, paint, photograph, hula hoop, hike, camp, play foosball and pinball, have fab sex, make weird art projects from found items, sell said items in yard sales, cook, read, (I write for a living, and that's fun, too) hang with family and friends, and answer lame questions on boards from ignorant materialistic morons.

We are normal friken people not freaks!!

Well, I like to preach at everyone from my bubble of ethical superiority, even though I am completely ignorant of all subjects regarding the environment and animal rights. I never laugh, because life is just not funny and if you make fun of me for the way that I eat I might cry because I don't have any protein sources and my brain is turning flabby. As for footwear, I usually go barefoot because I am a dirty patchouli-scented hippie (you forgot that stereotype, might want to add it to the list.)

Experiment with new sausage making recipes.

I like to play volleyball and bowling, played baseball in school, but not so much a fan of syndicated sports any longer. I currently or in the past enjoy playing starcraft (again recently with friends from work), swimming, running, lifting weights, laying in the sun if I get the chance...when I lived in Oregon I spent more time hiking, sandboarding and camping or having beach parties. I used to enjoy shooting my rifle, playing piano and guitar or driving my car haha..but those are all in oregon still atm. When I was younger I was heavy into painting and music composition and practiced shiru-te karate upto green belt. Right now I work in an electronics store as accessory sales working towards being promoted to computer sales. I like all sorts of music, but don't listen to it as much as I used too. Musics I don't like are pop hip hop and pop country..I respect some of the deeper artists of those genres. I prefer rock, electronica and industrial the most. Tool ,NIN and Primus are three of my favorite rock bands. I hadn't watched TV much uptill half a year ago and since then I enjoyed watching top chef season 2, parts of lost, Rome and OZ on HBO... Typically if I watched TV before it was history or discovery channels and occassionally sci-fi (long standing sg-1 fan.) Yep thats about it.

MrThing is the worst of them all Veganscript is second. For fun I played with the cabbage heads. Now its getting boring. kinda like telling a Jew to believe in Jesus.

Where are you meeting these stereotypical vegetarians anyway? I don't know any other vegetarians, but I'm certainly nothing like the stereotypes.

What I do for fun: I read, a lot, I watch movies and tv, I cook and eat, I play with my pets and do some tennis and horseback riding when I can. I like museums and zoos and being outdoors, but I can't say I enjoy it enough to go camping or anything. When I have money, I shop, and for the record...I don't wear leather shoes if I can help it, but I do like to dress well. I don't look like a hippie.
