What is the difference between "Hawaian Salt" and normal salt?!

Question:

What is the difference between "Hawaian Salt" and normal salt?

Answers:
Salt is a flavor enhancer, composed primarily of sodium chloride. There are different forms of edible salt: unrefined salt (such as sea salt), refined salt (table salt), and iodized salt. It is a crystalline solid, white, pale pink or light grey in color, normally obtained from sea water or rock deposits. Natural sea salt includes vital trace minerals in addition to the sodium chloride. Edible rock salts may be slightly greyish in color due to this mineral content.

Hawaii Salt also known as Red Alae Sea Salt : Traditional Hawaiian salt is used to season and preserve. A natural mineral called "Alaea" (volcanic baked red clay) is added to enrich the salt with iron oxide. This natural additive is what gives the salt its distinctive pink color. By adding 'Alaea it significantly increases the health benefits of this salt. 'Alaea is composed of over 80 different minerals that no other salts provide.
The clay imparts a subtle flavor that is said to be mellower than regular sea salt. It is the traditional and authentic seasoning for native Hawaiian dishes such as Kalua Pig. Sea Salt tastes much better than any white salt

One has pineapple in it.

Maybe it comes in a tall glass with a straw and an umbrella.....

Hawaiian Sea Salt is the salt used by Hawaiians to preserve and cook their foods. In fact, it is the salt of choice when one is curing and preparing raw salmon to be used in the recipe for lomi lomi salmon, which is one of the dishes served at a Hawaiian luau (see our recipe section for this dish).

This salt is made up of medium sized grains, which have been created by evaporating sea water with the sun. It seems just the tiniest bit milder in flavor than regular table salt to our taste buds, but you will have to be the judge of that yourself.

The white salt comes straight from the ocean to your table, while the red salt is actually white salt that comes first from the sea and then has an organic red clay added to its surface, after which it is baked so that the color will stay. The red salt is the more traditional of the two and is the most popular of the two salts among Hawaiians.

Hawai'i is known for it's famous Alaea pink sea salt. The salt is subtle, and refined. Foodies think this is the best salt on earth! The pink color in Alalea Sea Salt comes from the iron oxide (FeO2 for you chemists) that is so prevelent on the Hawaiian islands.
