I don't know if a microwave hits a specific temperature. I believe it heats through the water molecules in food only. Thats why plastic containers don't melt as they might in a conventional oven. The corn should still pop in a covered pot over the stove though. maybe ? ? ?
Is it in the sun or in a nice shady place? You see the inside isn't like an oven, it agitates molecules to create heat. So out in the sun the out side will be hotter but the cooking will occur the same.
The temp of a microwave is room temp. The only time it changes is when the food or item your heating up inside it will
absorb some of the heat from that item.
