What do you add to spinach to make it taste better?!

Question:

What do you add to spinach to make it taste better?

Answers:
I have a Great Spinach Dip recipe which is always a hit at a party. Enjoy:

1 block of frozen spinach - wring all water out
1 cup mayonaise (I tend to use Hellmans)
1 cup sour cream
1/2 or 1 package Knorr vegetables or other soup base without any meat or pasta (to taste)

Combine and mix well all ingredients in a container and leave in fridge overnight.

You can eat this with veggies or we like to eat it with pumpernickle bread or crackers.

A lovely thick cheese sauce. Mmmmmmmm

The trick to spinach is not to overcook it. I wilt spinach very quickly in a little olive oil and garlic. It's delicious that way. As soon as it wilts...take it off the heat.

Lemon juice or oil and vinegar.

salt or tabasco sauce if you like some spice.

Are you eating fresh, are you cooking it or what?

I add fresh to salads and use just like lettuce.
I also cook it up in a skillet with some olive oil and garlic.

I love spinach and think it taste just fine. If you don't like the taste of it, why eat it?

A little vinegar, and some liberal salt and pepper, if it's steamed. Raw spinach, which I prefer, tastes great with a little Greek salad dressing.

Butter and a bit of salt

Great as is in salad but it you're looking to cook.... try spreading a 10oz bag on a baking sheet, top with roasted red peppers and a can of artichokes including the juice and top with feta cheese. Bake at 350 for about ten minutes or until spinach just starts to wilt. Yum!

cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese

The best recipe I make is to cook up some diced bacon and pour out most of the grease. Add this to about 8 servings of fresh spinach and top with a vinaigrette made up of 1/2c. vinegar, 1/8c. oil, 1/8c. sugar and 2 tsp. each of salt and pepper. Shake the dressing well and pour over that salad and toss all items together. I could eat this for days!

Spinach tastes great all on its own. I like to keep it raw and mix it in with my salad greens. I will occassionally mix it in with soups, wilt it into some pasta, or use it as a pizza topping, but generally I don't care for it cooked.

Ok, see the VIP (Very Italian reciPe... ;-)) ) First, you should buy fresh entire spinach (and wash and boil them by yourself) and not fresh-prepared ones, in order to avoid preservatives. Instead of this, you can buy them freezed, in cubes, very quick and simple to cook. This what I do: put the freezed cubes (0.3 kg is quite a big portion) in a frying pan with 1 teaspoon of fresh butter and 1 garlic segment, salt; fire slow for about 12 - 15 min and... it's ready to eat! Just at the end, add 1 tablespoon full of parmigiano, or half mozzarella in thin slices, or every cheese you like... Ciao e buon appetito!!

Crumbled bacon is good with it

You can add a boiled egg, chopped up, or some pine nuts, or some lemon juice. Delicious.

Spinach is MUCH better raw in a salad. my favorite is fresh torn spinach, sliced strawberries, sliced red onion, gorgonzola cheese and a dressing of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, onion salt and pepper.

If cooked, it's pretty tasty creamed....just add cream and parmesan cheese, and again, plenty of black pepper!

Always use fresh. Canned is absolutely nasty!

My favorite simple dish (especially for a snack or a meal-by-myself) is rice with spinach and cheddar cheese, plus a hefty dash of Tony Satcherie's cajun seasoning.

how we cook spinach
first of all boil spinach
take another utensil or pan or karahi or vessel and put some oil with onion fry it little bit then add salt, red chili powder, black pepper little bit, cumin seed, turmeric powder and add water into it when water start giving bubbles add chicken with yogurt
now smash boil spinach and add it into the pan in which chicken with mixture was cooking , remember add then when chicken was near to cook then leave it for few minutes after that shake them continuously until all water get dry and you would have chicken and spinach you can add green chili along with tomato too.
spinach is ready
now serve it with wheat bread or makai Ki rot ti
you can serve it with cheese or butter

Mix chopped blanch spinach to greek yogurt with some salt, its yummy.
Have it as part of a Green salad.

A little goat's milk, corn starch (about 1 tbsp) and a few pinches of cinnamon.

1tbsp of liquid smoke (hickory or mesquite)
1 tbsp of Kosher salt

LOTS of sauteed garlic and some infused olive oil.
Mmmmmmm!

I saute chopped garlic in a pan with olive oil, then add the spinach until it is cooked. at the end i usually add a little more oil and a squeeze of lemon juice.
