Regional Foods?!

Question:

Regional Foods?

I recently moved from St. Louis to Milwaukee/Madison area.
3 foods only found in St.L are Toasted Ravioli, StL. Style Pizza (thin, provelone cheese) and St. Pauls (Chinese take out).

In So. Wis we have Cheese Curds. Not bad they are.

My bro lives in Cincinnati. Skyline Chilli (cinnomin) is to die for.

What types of food are native to your area?

Down here in central Florida, grits are on all the menus! And cheese grits are mighty yummy. I'm going to St.Louis next week and can't wait to try the toasted ravioli I've been reading about.

A friend of ours is visiting from Wisconsin and she brought delicious cheese curds. we treated her to some reindeer sausage. We love fruits and vegies and we pay a little extra, but the tomatoes are great this year Our friend is from Fond du Loc I hope i spelled it right. The folks there are so nice

boiled peanuts. I don't know if it is exclusive to the South. I had a friend who moved to California and could not find them anywhere. They are everywhere in SC and NC. Oh and being southern we eat a lot of grits, everything seems to be fried, and a lot of people here (not me) eat every part of the animal they can. Like pigs feet (yuck!)
