Sugar free glaze?!

Question:

Sugar free glaze?

I need a galze for a cake for my friend, but he's not to have any sugar. What is a recipe for a sugar-free galze?
Thanks!!

Answers:
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups SPLENDA? No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
1/4 cup cornstarch
5 teaspoons water
Directions Place SPLENDA? Granulated and cornstarch in blender jar. Cover and blend until SPLENDA? Granulated is a very fine powder. Pour into a small bowl. Add water and stir well. This recipe makes a thick glaze. Add more water for a thinner glaze.
To flavor the glaze try adding any of the following: 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract, 1 drop maple flavor, 1 tsp. lemon zest, 1 tsp. orange zest, or 1/2 tsp. rum flavor.

Exchanges per serving (1tablespoon): 1/2 carbohydrate

Try substituting Splenda for sugar.

Just use a sugar-free jam. Warm it up a bit and brush it over the cake. Bigger question...how are you baking a cake with no sugar???

if you find one that works let me know..

Impossible

Apple Glaze (Diabetic)

1 cup apple juice
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons liquid sugar substitute
1 teaspoon margarine

1. Combine juice, water and cornstarch in saucepan.
2. Cook and stir til mixture is clear and slightly thickened.
3. Remove from heat.
4. Add sugar substitute and margarine.
5. Serve hot or cold.

That might be tough. Glaze is just confectioners' sugar and milk, and I don't think there is a sub for confectioner's sugar. I would google it, or try cooks.com.

Use Splenda instead:-)
