What kind of food should I fix?

Me and my g/f are having our 2 year anniversery and we are going to the mountains and she was wanting me to fix a lunch. Is there any kind of romantic food I could take in a cooler or on a grill at a camp ground? thanx for all the help!

grills some salmon fillets or tuna steaks and or some shrimp kebabos or chicken ones with cherry tomatoes and onion and pineapple you can have it with grilled corn on the cob or those grill foil bags make diced red skin potatoes and red and yellow peppers and onions and carrots and broccoli or any veges u like and cook over heat and serve with ur meal

a nice type of fish, veggies that can be grilled, and mabey some type of pasta that can be boiled onthe grill, a angel hair works good,

grilling not too sexy, unless its in your back yard in your new home.
Take juciy exotic foods. Blindfold her and feed her. Make sure she's not allergic to anything though.

DILLED GARDEN SALAD
Preparation time: 30 min Chilling time: 4 hrs
Yield: 10 (1/2-cup) servings

Salad Ingredients:
2 medium tomatoes, cut into bite-sized wedges
1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
1 small onion, cut in half, thinly sliced
1/2 cup pitted kalamata olives
4 ounces Mozzarella Cheese, cubed 1/2 inch

Vinaigrette Ingredients:
1/4 cup vegetable or olive oil
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 to 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill weed*
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Place all salad ingredients except cheese cubes in large serving bowl; toss lightly.

Whisk together all vinaigrette ingredients in small bowl. Pour over salad; toss well. Refrigerate at least 4 hours to blend flavors. Stir in cheese just before serving.

*Substitute 1 teaspoon dried dill weed.

Recipe Tip
To make a heartier salad for lunch, add cubes of ham or smoked turkey.


HERO-IN-THE-ROUND SANDWICH
Preparation time: 15 min
Yield: 8 servings

1 (8-inch) loaf round bread, unsliced
1/2 cup Butter, softened
4 ounces thinly sliced roast beef
8 (3/4-ounce) slices Deli American Cheese
1/4 cup Thousand Island dressing
6 lettuce leaves
1 medium tomato, sliced 1/4-inch
4 ounces thinly sliced pastrami
4 ounces Deli Monterey Jack Cheese, cut into 16 (2x1-inch) slices

Cut loaf lengthwise horizontally into 4 slices; spread all cut surfaces with butter.

Place bottom slice of loaf on platter; top with roast beef and American cheese slices. Spread with 2 tablespoons Thousand Island dressing.

Place second bread slice on top of beef and cheese; top with lettuce and tomatoes.

Place third bread slice on top of tomatoes; top with pastrami and Monterey Jack cheese. Spread with remaining Thousand Island dressing. Add remaining bread slice.

Skewer loaf with 6 to 8 skewers from top to bottom, if desired. Cut into 8 pie-shaped wedges.

Recipe Tip
For variety, add 1/2 teaspoon seasoned pepper to butter. Spread cut surfaces of bread with butter mixture.

Prepare sandwich as directed above. Cover with plastic food wrap; place in cold picnic cooler when transporting.


Watermelon and Cantaloupe Salad with Mint Vinaigrette

1 bunch fresh mint, chopped
1/4 cup lemon juice, from about 1 lemon
1/4 cup simple syrup, recipe follows
1/8 teaspoon amaretto
2 cups watermelon balls, from about half a watermelon
2 cups cantaloupe balls, from about 1 cantaloupe

In a blender, combine mint, lemon juice, simple syrup, and amaretto. Blend until smooth.
In a large bowl, combine the watermelon and the cantaloupe. Add the vinaigrette and toss. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve.


Simple Syrup:
1/2 cup water
1 cup sugar
In a saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, until the sugar has dissolved. Take pan off heat and cool the syrup. Any extra cooled syrup can be saved in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Yield: 1 cup

Strawberries dipped in chocolate. Some cheeses cubed. Maybe some large or jumbo shrimp put on skewers and grilled, with a small container of melted butter & lemon juice to brush on.

BBQ chicken, salads and fruit
Since you are going camping then any thing is possible on a grill so think of nice meals for a small camp. and make the night away ( if you know what I mean)
Also Oyster BBQ the are the best to eat camping but it has to be shelled don't get the unshelled not that good cooking.
