I am not telling you to follow this, but if you do, you'll be able to have some very good chilli

Chilli

4. As the onion turn light brown add the meat
5. Add cinnamon, 1 teaspoon garlic, 1 teaspoon ginger, salt, 1 cup tomato paste/puree
6. Cook for 35 minutes, checking every 5 minutes
7. If gets dry add 1 cup of boiling water (each time it gets dry)
8. After 35 minutes has passed add 1 can of bean, 1 can of salsa (type depends on what you like) and 1 teaspoon of sugar.
9. Cook for 5-10 minutes (do not add any more water)
10. ENJOY

Well, I kind of do everything from scratch...not sure of exact measurements. But one thing you do need to try...add in V-8 juice. It really does boost up the flavor.

1 pack of ground beef
2 cans of dark red kidney beans (drained)
1 packet of chili mix (I really like McCormick's hot and spicy)
2 cans of mushrooms
2 cans of tomatoes, diced
1/2 chopped onion
As much V-8 juice as you want
Salt and Pepper

I just ground the beef up then add everything else and heat. Have fun and good luck!
