Are sunny side up eggs safe to eat?!

Question:

Are sunny side up eggs safe to eat?

Or over easy or for that matter.

Answers:
Sunnyside or "over-easy" eggs have been eaten for thousands of years with few ill effects. There is always a concern that undercooked eggs may contain various diseases (salmonella being the most common). They may. But even at that, the dosage is so low that most people's immune system, saliva, and stomach acids will kill off the few germs that do exist. If you have some bizzare immune deficiency (HIV) then there would be a small chance that eating raw eggs would be problematic. Not for normal folks though.

yes

why not? eggs are eggs, if theres something wrong with the egg, then no matter how u cook it it'll be dangerous

of course they are they are still cooked and if you think about it tons of people eat raw eggs and they are fine

I think there is a small chance for some salmonella that is why some restaurant's won't serve them. Over easy and you should be good.

as fas as pasteurizing goes, if you want sunny side up eggs, set stove top to LOW heat (one drop of water should barely sizzle) then spoon the oil over the yolk, use lots, till the skin of the yolk turns white.

yes I am 43 and love it poached and never had problems

yes i think they are safe to eat, cause they are delicious, and some athletes drink them raw, and are still healthly
