Crawfish boil questions?!

Question:

Crawfish boil questions?

I love eating crawfish and usually buy them already cooked and they are a bit spicy. Well tonight I am going to buy 30lbs live and we are going to boil them ourselves. Well there is one person who is 6 months pregnant and she doesnt care for spicy food. We all dont care if there not spicy but we dont want them without spice. We may even just cook hers separate. But what are some crawfish seasonings I can try that will give them some flavoiring but not make them really spicy.

Answers:
I married into a cajun family who come from New Orleans, so I've been to plenty crawfish boils. They only use crab boil(the concentrated liquid) and lots of salt. You'll have to play around with the amount of crab boil b/c it can get spicy, but it adds such great flavor. Boil whole mushrooms, quartered lemons, halved red potatoes, and onions with the crawfish. This helps the flavor a bit too, but they're good to eat w/the crawfish. Also your pregnant friend might want to eat the first batch, b/c each batch after gets a little more spicy each time. Good luck!!

It kills me to say this, but just don't use as much seasoning...

Here are some websitesyou might want to check out and some stores you might want to go to:

My best advice is for you to go to a local store like Publix or Walmart and ask for crwfish seasonings... Wish you have the best dinner of your life.. Enjoy~
