Does toasting bread altar it's nutritional value?!

Question:

Does toasting bread altar it's nutritional value?

Answers:
Not noticeably. Technically, a few calories (not kilocalories) are burned off in the maillard reaction, but the number is so miniscule unless you seriously burn the bread. Some may also argue (correctly) that heat can affect (destroy) some vitamins, but again, the level of change would be miniscule in terms of RDA and typical daily intake.

no,in fact burnt toast is meant to be really good for you!

no!
next question!

yes

it does, what occurs is the softer part in bread contains the vitamins and nutrients in bread ata higher level then the crust which has had more heat to it, ie the crust factor, like an example would be the back of your bread bag shows servings ect, the amount of calories are about the same, but some of the vitamins can be lost do to the extream temperatures to the bread not just the baking process, but the toasting factor.

I seriously doubt it! unless you add butter, jelly or crem cheese.
