As soon as the water has boiled pop it in it, im not sure on the exact time to cook it for but i would imagine until it was tender when you stab it with a fork......

I've never heard of boiling coconut. If you are trying to get the meat out of the shell, roast in the oven at 350 for about 20-30 minutes. Just keep an eye on it, when it starts to separate from shell, it's ready.
Boiling coconut? If you mean coconut milk used in curries, usually bring it to the heat just under the boil to heat it through.

Why do you want to boil it? I'm a former professional chef and I do not recall ever having seen a recipe that requires coconut to be boiled.
