Answers:
Have you tried herbal teas? Make sure it doesn't have caffeine though! Also foods high in B vitamins are said to have a calming effect on the nervous system. Avoid foods with refined sugars and enriched flour such as packaged cereals. Tryptophan is an amino acid that helps with depression and anxiety. World's Healthiest Foods website lists several foods that are high in tryptophan, such as chicken breast, yellow fin tuna, lamb, shrimp and turkey.

water can really help

chai tea, or any kind of tea.

Any kind of tea that consists Chamomile. Chamomile is a very relaxing and soothing herb.

It can really depend on a person to person basis, but some chamomile tea might help, any herbal tea without caffiene would also be good, whichever taste you prefer.

Some people like drinking warm milk to help relax as well.

For me a cup of black tea with milk helps me relax, but again up to personal preferences and what works for you.

Warm milk, stuff that fills you up will relax you and make you tired.

Things you can eat or drink that will relax you...it depends on the person of what works, and what doesn't. Warm milk is a great remedy for people who can't sleep. Also eat feel good foods, like chicken noodle soup. There are studies with evidence, saying that enzymes in chicken can help fight infections. And besides, A warm belly full of chicken noodle soup makes anyone feel good. Anything, that's fresh and wholesome, such as fresh fruit, bananas are great. You don't want anything that contains caffeine or other stimulants.

If you are not into tea, hot cocoa is always a good choice. Nice and hot and then add some mini marshmallows. Can sit with a good magazine and sip the cocoa. Also a cup of soup is relaxing. Chicken noodle or creamy tomato are my faves.

coffee with heavy cream...i drink coffee twice a day in the morning and at night..the caffeine just doesnt affect me anymore. but if your not a big caffeine addict, buy some decaf coffee and a carton of heavy cream, add a spoonful of sugar and get ready to relax. it works for me. i look forward to my coffee after work every night.

Warm milk has a natural sedative effect. Try drinking warm tea also. Usually the warmth will relax someone. Hope I helped!
