Should i return a pickling jar?
A friend gave our family a jar of pickled beets. I used all of them, now should I return the jar like I would a dish?

yes you should return it cause they are rather costly . I would put something in it like maybe some cookies. good luck .

YES, I just returned all mine from last year when people gave me jelly and other goodies. Be nice and return them, they will probably refill them and give you more goodies.
Many people use the same jars over and over again [ everyone in my family did ].
I agree with the person who said return it, with a towel, favorite brand of tea/coffee, or homemade cookies.
I'd return the jar with something in it (candy, some sort of thank you treat). It would be a nice gesture since the jars aren't cheap these days!
