Does anyone who tried caviar actually like it?!

Question:

Does anyone who tried caviar actually like it?

I can''t see what the big deal is. It almost made me gag. I think "aquired taste" is a nice way of saying it's so nasty you have train yourself not to gag while eating it.

Just my opinion.

Answers:
I like it but expensive. <*-*>

I like it, but Im not willing to pay ungodly amounts of money for it or anything. Lol.

Yes, aquired taste means that you must have a sophisticated palate to enjoy such delectable delicacies.

It's Ok for me. But I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it. But I'll eat it at a function if it's on an appetizer.

I love it. But then, I love many things that many people don't or wouldn't dare trying.

caviar isn't really aquired taste. its liek wine..the cheaper it is, the worst it taste. cheap companies add alot of salt to mask the flavor or the caviar. the better the quality the fishy and salty

God it was horrible the most nastiest thing I ever put in my mouth!!!

When I was a chef, we did a big cocktail party for some VIP's, and put out a $700 tin one of those big ones, in an ice bowl, with all the trimmings, they ate only about 1/3 of it, to see a tin of beluga caviar sitting out and uneaten like that was almost hard to bear.

As some of your other respondant have said it is an aquired taste, I have had almost every kind of Russian, Iranian, Pattlefish, American, Lumpfish, Salmon, Trout, Whitefish and not a fish but in France I had escargot eggs, looks like white clear caviar, almost like cooked tapioca.

It's wonderful on blini (Russian pancakes). Rolled up like a burrito with sour cream and caviar inside.

Yes... it is an aquired taste.
Just like some people like meat and some don't...
Some like fish and others don't...
etc. etc.

However there are different types of caviars...
I personally like only one type...
