My jam is to hard can i fix it?!

Question:

My jam is to hard can i fix it?

have made strawberry jam and i have over cooked it so now it is et it is to hard is there anyway to fix it

Answers:
I'd just heat it slightly before serving or use it as a topping/ filling for cakes, french toast or pancakes. Or bake a dollop inside a muffin or cupcake.

It's alot work to empty all your jars, thin it out & reprocess only to find out that the results could still be unsatisfactory.

I preserve my own foods all year through & love to make jams, jellies & preserves

Bin it

place jam in a bowl boil kettle and add hot water till you get the wright consistency

Nuke it slightly in the microwave right before you serve it....then stir. Should thin it up some.

Ask Bob Marley, he is jamming.

Ask Bob the Builder, can he fix it, yes he can.

I agree with Craig. Adding more water is the way to bring jam back, it sounds as if you added to much sugar which made it bond together, this will loosen the bond and thin out the jam. Make all my own jam.
