Answers:
You are a vegetarian.
Yeah you!
:)

You are specifically known as an "ovo-vegetarian" unless you eat other products that are made with dairy ingredients (whey, casein, milk etc.).

If you do eat other dairy products, then your specific category would be ovo-lacto-vegetarian.

Egg whites are part of the inside of an egg. It is what surrounds the yolk, so it is not vegan.

You obviously can choose to eat whatever you want. The question might better be asked, "Why would you eat (or not eat) meat, or milk, or seafood?" When you can truthfully answer that, then you can determine why you would or wouldn't eat eggs.
Eggs are a product of chickens--much like milk is a product of cows. Chickens will lay eggs that are not fertilized (most you eat would not be fertile.) But cows will produce milk even when their calves don't need it (during weaning, for instance.) Cows have multiple udders, and yet usually only have one calf. The other milk would go "wasted" if not consumed by someone (something.)
Are you not eating dairy products because cows are raised on dairies just so that you could eat them? If that is your logic, then you should not eat anything with egg products in it, for the same reason. Chickens are bred, kept captive, and "used" just to produce eggs. If you eliminate chicken eggs, would you eliminate eggs from "free range" chickens?
You'll need to explain why you have chosen to eliminate these foods from your diet before we can better answer your question.
Also, of course, you'd have to eliminate all breads and cakes too, because they use live yeast in order to rise. And the live yeast they are produced with is grown only for human consumption. Do you eat honey? It is produced from bugs (bees) that are kept captive soley for the purpose of human food.
Do you eliminate apples or oranges from your diet? Those are merely the seeds (or eggs, if you will) of living trees, produced and raised for the sole purpose of feeding humans. This would include all nuts, fruits and berries. I don't know how far you personally want to go in eliminating things from your diet.
An egg is not capable of becoming a chicken, until it has rooster sperm injected into it. At that point, the egg has all the amino acids, tools, and fuels to become a chicken.
It is your call--but without more information, I can't guide you. Why do you not eat meat, fish, seafood, or poultry? Answer that, and I'll guide you better.

Although this product would not be vegan since it contains egg whites (part of the egg), you could eat it and still be vegetarian. So if you want to go vegan, don't continue to use it. If you want to be vegetarian, use it if you want to. :o)

Everybody is different, but in general a vegan does not eat any meat, meat byproducts, dairy or eggs. There are also different kinds of vegetarians. I'm a lacto-ovo vegatarian, which means I do eat a limited number of dairy and egg products. Mostly just for practical reasons, because they are so hard to avoid. So, really you just have to decide if you think eating eggs is ok for you. No one else can tell you that.

stop eating the eggs and go vegan! you are practically almost there!

animal liberation!!!!

you are vegan. vegans don't eat ANYTHING that comes from an animal in anyway. if you want to be vegan then no, you can't eat egg whites.

you're not a vegan, you'd have to eliminate any animal ingredients of any kind. egg whites come from an egg which comes from a chicken... obviously not vegan, pretty self explanatory right there.

If there are egg whites in it, it's not vegan. It seems like your vegan. However, there are no vegan police to capture you if you wanna try non vegan stuff. Cheers!

Hi Her,

I trust you understand that organizations like PETA claim to be promoting animal rights. They are really promoting veganism, but they can't raise much money promoting the welfare of botanicals, and they are dedicated to raising money!

Look at the financial statements of PETA, the API, and the USHS. You'll be amazed when you see how much money
the USHS gives to many humane societies throughout the country.

If you get a chance, you might want to ask some of the senior people at PETA why so many of their members threaten people who express disagreements with PETA's goals and tactics.

no egg whites are from a snake and chickens have scales .

why do you find it necessary to worry so much about what you eat, just eat what you like and quit worrying so much

well because u eat egg whites you cannot be conciderd vegan, vegan avoid every thing that comes from an animal. including egg whites. but you are vegetarian.
