MIxer/Blender for Indian Cooking.?!

Question:

MIxer/Blender for Indian Cooking.?

OK I have ruined over 5 blenders in 2 years while making idli/dosa batter. Which mixer available in USA can I use for this purpose? I need somthing that is sturdy, that can be cleaned easily and can be used to grind large quantities of batter. Please let me know!

Answers:
My dad cooks idli all the time. Do not use a blender, it is akng for trouble. Food processors are the way to go. He uses a Cuisinart Model # DFP-7BC. It works vey well. As far as dosa, is concerned, hand mixing is the only way to do this properly. You can pick up the processor at a Sears, Kitchen Kaboodle, Costco, or online. Hope this helps.
