Most grocery stores carry yeast in the baking aisle. and they also keep the cubes in the deli section. You will have better sucess staying away from the packets. Do not use the yeast for bread machines unless you are usuing a machine to make the bread.
You can just pick up the envelopes at a supermarket, but you can also get most bakeries to sell you some. It's quite cheap.
I use Fleischman's brand yeast. You can usually find it in the baking aisle of any grocery store. I buy the strip of 3 packets, but there is a jarred variety as well. To me the packets are easier, though. I know 2 packets of yeast makes 2 loaves of bread. No measuring involved.

Just go to walmart or your reguler grocery store and go down the baking department.Itll be there. Its either packets or a little glass container...
