Question:

Does anyone know what the correct spelling is?

My brother had infectish colitious as a child and until age 5 could only eat a squash we knew as Ga-guts. (This is how it sounded.) Now the ladies that grew it were old Italian's in NY. I'm attempting to find this veggie. Does anyone know what this is?

Gagutz-ratatiulle is a squash based soup w. zuchinni and stuff... but I don't know if gagutz on its own is a squash itself.
