A question about baking.?!

Question:

A question about baking.?

Why is it everytime I bake something in the oven it comes out tottally burnt before the time is up, such as those little cookies or cinnamon rolls you get at the store.I live in a high elevation also, so should I nake it for half the time.

Answers:
I used to have the same problem. Every time I baked a cake in would be burnt crispy outside, and all soft and uncooked inside. I realised that it was because the oven was quite powerful and it cooked the outside almost instantly after 10 minutes and cooked the inside much slower.

What I did was that I started baking at half the heat but for twice as long. Like for example, a typical cake would take 45 min to bake at 180'c. However I started baking for 90 min at 100'c. My cakes came out fine after that. Everything started to cook evenly. Good luck ;)

just keep checking on it every 5min.sometimes the times arnt alwayds right...thatsa just what they think

check them at 1/3 the package time. and then 1/2. it's likely the elevation plus your particular oven. although the temperature is within a range around the set temp, the actual temp in your oven may not be exactly what you think it is.

It's the high altitude.........

You should never nook anything that is to be baked in the oven only if the directions tell you how it is to be cooked. Also maybe your oven has a lot higher heat so try setting the heat just a little bit lower.

Maybe its your oven, sometimes oven cook hotter or cooler than they're supposed to.

i live at high elevation
but i only nake as long as i see that it needs be naked
if you keep a close eye on what you are naking
it should be easy to keep it from being over-naked

keep checking it and maybe turn your oven down a bit,all ovens are different.
