Here is a great recipe. It is tangy and sweet, I always have someone ask for the recipe when they taste it, and I just bought the ingredients to make it today.

Tutti Frutti Homemade Ice Cream

Juice of 4 oranges
3 mashed bananas
1 8.5 oz. can crushed pineapple
1 quart whole milk
2 cups sugar
1 pint whipping cream
2 teaspoons vanilla

Mix until sugar is dissolved, then freeze according to your ice cream maker's instructions.

I just use the basic Rival Ice Cream Freezer. I layer 1 cup rock salt for every 7 cups of crushed ice.

You could add any type of fruit to vanilla ice cream (like strawberry). I just like to mash the fruit up a little bit before, and stir well before freezing. I forgot to once while attempting raspberry ice cream, and I ended up with vanilla ice cream with huge chunks of rock solid raspberries.

One thing you can do is to take a regular vanilla or Chocolate recipe and add to it :) My mom used to always make Butterfinger ice cream! You take about 3 Butterfingers (depending on the size of your ice cream maker)... and crush them up (put them in a zip-lock and pound them with something hard)... and mix them with your regular recipe of vanilla or chocolate :) YUM! You can do other candy bars or fruits... but Butterfinger is my fave :)
